Braden, Steve and I met in the library from 4:30-6:00 on Thursday. We went through the cartoons that each of us had previously found, chose the ones we liked best and then found the rest of the 15 that we needed. Before our meeting I had printed off the coding sheets so while we were choosing the cartoons, I wrote down the information for them on the sheet (everything on the top half). We also discussed what type of multi-media project we are going to do. If we are able to do what we want, I'm really excited for it. I think it will turn out great.
With the cartoon's we started leaning more towards the religious factor is same-sex marraige. Becuase there were so many cartoons we figured we had to narrow it somehow. Not all of the cartoons we chose have to deal with religion but we tried to get a good variety. For the multi-media project, we want to interview different religious leaders and ask what their churche's beliefs are on same-sex marraige. Steve is going to be working on getting ahold of different leaders. I'll be working on the coding sheets. Braden is going to be going home to get the video camera and thinking of different ideas for our own cartoon.
I thought we had a good meeting...and apparently the post that I intended to post the same day didn't get up. So here it is again. We have found some awesome editorial cartoons to work with!! Stoked on our findings.
